Police are investigating a strong armed robbery the left a female taxi driver injured in Newark on Wedensday afternoon.
According to reports, at around 1:40pm in the area of Verona and Mt Prospect Avenue, a Hispanic male suspect approached the woman and physically forced the woman from the vehicle causing non-life threatening injuries.
Swift response from police had cops canvas the area where they located the unoccupied cab,'with evidence inside, on Branchbrook Place according to reports.
The suspect was described as an older Hispanic male who was wearing a blue shirt and had a grey goatee style beard.
The car taken was a Silver/grey Ford Crown Victoria that's owned by Classic Cab Company number 211.
Police searched the area but it is not immediately clear if the suspects was ever located.
