Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose announced that a $50,000.00 arrest warrant has been issued for Kareem Reed, 24, of Newark, in connection with a burglary on Monday, July 11, 2016.
According to Director Ambrose, at approximately 1:30 p.m., Newark Police responded to a residence in the area of Hunterdon and Bergen Streets on a burglary call.
A victim returned home and found the suspect inside the residence. The suspect fled through the front door upon being discovered Ambrose said.
As part of their investigation, detectives have determined that Kareem Reed is a suspect in this burglary Ambrose said.
While police are actively searching for Reed, police are seeking the public’s assistance in quickly locating and removing Reed from the streets.
This investigation is active and ongoing Ambrose said.
