Police took several people into custody in Maplewood on Tuesday after a dispute led to an assault between several people.
According to initial reports, fast responding police units were called to an address on Newark Way at around 2:30 p.m. after receiving reports of a dispute with at least one person assaulted.
Upon arrival, police located the victim who told police that several suspects began to attack after engaging in an unidentified dispute shortly before they arrived.
Police located the three suspects nearby and arrested them reports said.
EMS were called to the scene for minor injuries that were reported.
The motive behind the assault is under investigation.
