A frantic call to 911 on early Friday morning had the parents of an infant apply life saving techniques to a young boy in an attempt to save the child who had somehow stopped breathing at a residence in the city's North Ward.
EMS were dispatched to an address on Triton Terrace, at around 1 a.m., where EMT's arrived to find the child (who is reported to be around the age of 6-months-old) unconscious and unresponsive according to reports.
The child was rushed to University Hospital in full cardiac arrest where the child died shortly before 2 a.m.
There were no immediate reports of foul play.
Authorities are investigating.
