Reports of a late night armed carjacking of a woman in the city's South Ward had police investigating.
Cops were called to the 200 block of Custer Avenue shortly before 10 p.m. where they were approached by a female who reported to them that two male suspects approached armed with a gun an demanded her silver 2012 Mercedes Benz according to reports.
The woman was later reported to be the mother of a Rutgers University Police Officer.
Police searched several areas of the city where they found the teenage boy occupying vehicle at an undisclosed location reports said.
The boy was taken into custody.
The woman did not suffer any physical injuries.
