East Orange authorities have apprehended a man that allegedly committed a murder and an aggravated assault and has been on the run about a month.
Acting Essex County Prosecutor Carolyn A. Murray has announced that authorities have arrested Quadree Richardson, 18, of Newark, in connection with the murder of Daquill M. Grant.
According to authorities, Grant, who was also 18 and from Newark, was shot and killed on September 4, 2016 on South 9th Street, Newark.
Police said Richardson was arrested, without incident, by officers from the East Orange Police Department late Saturday night at a residence in East Orange, according to Chief Assistant Prosecutor Thomas S. Fennelly, of the Prosecutor's Homicide Unit.
Bail for Richardson has been set $750,000 by the Honorable Verna Leath, J.S.C. Richardson will be lodged in the Essex County Correctional Facility pending a court appearance, according to Fennelly.
