A reported armed carjacking that happened in the city's East Ward has Newark Police investigating.
According to reports, the carjacking happened shortly before 5 a.m. in the ares of Rout 21 and Edison Place.
Several male suspects exited a blue SUV armed with gun s and ordered the victim from a dark colored BMW reports said.
The suspect, who were said to be black males, were wearing masks and carrying guns fled the scene in both vehicles heading towards Rt. 21.
There were no physical injuries reported.
