Second Woman Charged with Hindering Camden Homicide Investigation

Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Camden County Police Chief Scott Thomson announced today that a second woman has been charged with providing homicide detectives with a false statement in the investigation of the homicide of 8-year-old Gabrielle Hill Carter.

Natasha Gerald, 19, of Manor Court in Sicklerville, was charged with hindering the investigation by providing a false alibi for a person of interest in the fatal shooting. The charge is a third degree offense that carries a potential sentence of five years in state prison.  Gerald was processed and released on a summons.

Gabrielle Hill-Carter was shot in the 900 block of South 8th Street in Camden on August 24, 2016. 

Detectives are actively investigating this case and need anyone with information to come forward.  

The Citizens Crime Commission is offering a $76,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for her homicide.
