Police in Newark are seeking the public’s help identifying suspects who they say are connected with an armed robbery on Sunday.
According to authorities at approximately 11:45 a.m., officers responded to the **Mina de Oro Grocery Store** at 51 Oriental Street on a call of an armed robbery at gunpoint.
Police said, both suspects, entered the establishment armed with guns drawn and stole money from the store’s cash register.
According to authorities, the first suspect is described as a light-skinned Hispanic male with short hair who was last seen wearing a blue/gray hooded jacket with a white t-shirt. Police believe that the man is approximately 5'4" to 5'6" tall and weighs about 160 pounds.
The second suspect is described as a black male who was wearing a red t-shirt with white lettering and a purple hat. He is approximately 5’4” to 5’6” tall.
This investigation is active and ongoing police said.
