Agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigations swarmed a building in the 300 block of Washington Avenue in Elizabeth and reportedly took three people into custody according to sources in the area.
The arrests happened at around 1:15 p.m. and had about a dozen agents, with guns drawn, hurried the potential suspects out of a 4-family house in handcuffs sources said.
It is not immediately clear if the arrests are linked to the arrest of Ahmad Rahami that occurred on East Elizabeth Avenue at around 11:15 a.m.
Rahami is accused of placing several bombs near the train station in Elizabeth, the Seaside Park bombing and a weekend bombing that injured about 29 people in NYC.
Police believe that he was accompanied by three other suspects.
This is developing.
