Separate shootings in Hoboken left two people injured overnight in the city.
Reports of shots fired that rang out in the 500 block of Marshall Drive sent police to the scene where officer found one person struck by gunfire near the basketball courts according to reports.
The victim was transported to the hospital by EMS in serious condition.
A crime scene was established where officers searched the area for a male that was observed running from the scene.
It is not immediately clear if that person was ever found.
In a separate shooting, a male victim found laying in the middle of the street near Jackson and 3rd Streets had cops on the scene requesting EMS on the rush for the victim who was suffering injury from gunfire shortly before 4:30 a.m.
The victim was rushed to the hospital suffering life threatening injuries reports said.
Hoboken Police are investigating the motives for both shooting.
