Reports of a burglary at a Newark Charter School had police on the scene investigating this morning.
According to reports, the break-in occurred in an office at the school sometime overnight (Wednesday) when thieves forced entry into an office that contained the money and stole as much as $8,000.
Detectives from the Newark Police Department were on the scene looking into the incident.
It is not immediately clear how the burglars entered the school.
There were no immediate reports of any other items removed from the school during the incident.
