An investigation is underway after a kindergartener was found with 30 packets of heroin in his lunchbox, police said.
According to police, officers responded to the International Academy of Trenton Charter School's Bellevue Avenue campus after the teacher the 5-year-old boy saw him with a small white object, that was later determined to be a packet of heroin.
Further investigation by the teacher, led her to discover 29 more packets of heroin after checking the student lunchbox and book bag.
The student was subsequently transported to Capital Health Medical Center for evaluation and testing.
The incident remains under investigation.
