Newark Firefighters swiftly extinguished a fast moving fire that broke out inside an apartment of a single story building late last night.
Firefighters were called to 217Jefferson Street at around 11 p.m. after receiving call of a fire at that location.
Crews arrived to find heavy smoke coming from the windows of the brick framed building according to fire officials.
The fire was knocked down in under a half hour with no injuries reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
