Newark Police are searching for two masked men that committed an armed robbery in the city's South Ward earlier today.
Police responded to the 40's block of Leslie Street at around 1:30 p.m. after receiving reports of an armed robbery in progress.
Units arrived to the scene where they located the male victim who reported being robbed by two black males who approached armed with a silver colored gun and masks over their faces when they demanded personal possession.
The men reportedly fled the scene in an older modeled Nissan Altima or Maxima that fled eastbound on Rt. 78 according to reports.
There were no physical injuries reported.
