A violent early morning armed robbery that happened in Berkeley Township has police investigating.
The incident was reported in the 200 block of 1st Avenue in the Manitou Park Section of the city where police were called to the scene after receiving reports of an armed robbery in progress.
Units arrived to the scene to find a male victim suffering injuries after being attacked by two suspects who demanded personal possessions according to reports.
The suspects have only been described as two black males who were wearing masks during the attack. The men then fled in a vehicle in an unknown direction.
EMS transported the victim to an area hospital where his injuries were not reported to be life threatening reports said.
Police searched the area using K9 units but it is unclear if the suspects were ever found.
