Newark Police are seeking the public’s help identifying two suspects who are being sought by police for a robbery that occurred on Thursday, September 1, 2016.
Authorities said at approximately 4:30 a.m., officers responded to the Exxon Station at 481 Central Avenue on a call of a robbery.
Police said an armed male suspect exited a dark-gray Toyota Camry and robbed the station’s attendant of cash.
The suspect then fled in the Camry, traveling westbound on Market Street toward 9th Avenue.
As part of the investigation, detectives have developed evidence that a burgundy Honda Accord was also involved in this robbery.
While police are actively searching for the suspects, they seek the public’s assistance in quickly locating and removing them from our streets.
This investigation is active and ongoing.
