An armed robbery at gunpoint that happened near a park in the city is under investigation.
The armed robbery was reported at around 8:30 p.m. in the area of 18th Avenue and South 13th Street where police arrived to the scene to find a male victim who reported to them that a group of juveniles produced a weapon and took personal possessions before fleeing the scene towards West Side Park.
The victim did not suffer any physical injuries.
Newark Police are handling the investigation.
