Police said, Wednesday, August 3, 2016, Newark Police discovered the remains of Mr. Nelson Mellio, 57, of Columbia Street in Newark.
According to authorities, at approximately 2 p.m., Newark Police responded to the residence on a call of a sick or injured person.
Local emergency medical services also responded to the residence and Mr. Mellio was pronounced at the scene by the Medical Examiner’s Office.
Newark Police are seeking the public's assistance in making the next of kin notification.
