A narcotics raid led to the arrest of an 18-year-old Linden man, police announced this afternoon.
Friday, members of the Linden Police Narcotics Squad assisted by narcotics officers from the Roselle Police Department raided a house on the 10 block of E. Munsell Avenue sometime around 2:15 p.m., where police seized over 50 grams of marijuana, valued at approx. $1,600.
Officers also seized a digital scale, packaging materials, two cellular phones, and $1,065 in U.S. currency.
The raid was conducted after the department received complaints about drug dealing in the neighborhood.
Rodney E. Rodriguez, 18, of Linden, was arrested and charged with possession and distribution of marijuana over 50 grams, distribution within 1000’ of Public School # 6, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Rodriguez was released on a summons with a court date scheduled for August 17th.
