An early morning domestic incident that turned violent in Bloomfield left a man stabbed according to initial reports.
Police responded to the 70’s block of Bloomfield Avenue at around 6:30 a.m. for reports of an assault in progress.
Arriving units located the victim suffering a serious stab injury at that location.
The victim was taken by EMS to University Hospital in Newark in an unknown condition.
Initial reports have this as a domestic incident that involved an ex-boyfriend reportedly stabbing a man who was with a woman, then fleeing the scene.
It is not immediately clear what happened to the woman who was not at the scene when police arrived according to reports.
