Police took a man in custody early this morning after he attempted to assault a nurse at a Paterson hospital early this morning.
An off-duty Paterson cop arrested the man after a brief foot pursuit that began shortly before 4:30 a.m
The man became violent and started to attack the nurse in St. Joseph's Hospital's emergency department according to reports.
There were no injuries immediately reported.
Police are investigating.
