Man Dead, Juveniles Injured in Jersey City Birthday Party Shooting

Authorities in Jersey City are investigating a shooting incident at a birthday party that left a male dead and two juveniles injure at a location in the city overnight.

Multiple rounds of gunfire rang out inside a rental hall at Holy Ghost Tabernacle Ministries (located at 517 Communipaw Avenue) where a private event was being held sending police to the scene at approximately 11:30 p.m., according to initial reports.

Arriving police officers located a male victim (armed with a loaded gun) unconscious and unresponsive after suffering a gunshot wound.

The victim was rushed to Jersey City Medical Center where he died a short time later.

A thorough search of the area had cops locating two juveniles suffering non-life threatening gunshot wounds.

The two female victims one (12-years-old) suffered a graze wound to the face and the other (14-years-old) suffered a gunshot wound to the back of the head, according to reports.

Police located one of the victims at the Crown Fried Chicken nearby who was attempting to get help reports said.

The motive for the shooting is under investigation.

There were no immediately reports of arrests made.
