Winning Mega Millions Lottery Tickets Sold in Newark, Piscataway, Hawthorne

NJ Lottery offcials announced that there was one New Jersey ticket sold that matched the five white balls and the Mega Ball drawn winning the $5,000,000 second-tier prize for the Friday, July 29 drawing.

That ticket was sold at The Gift Horse, 174 Stelton Rd., Piscataway in Middlesex County.

In addition, four tickets were sold that matched the four white balls and the Gold Mega Ball each winning the $5,000 third-tier prize. One of those tickets was purchased with the Megaplier option, multiplying the prize to $25,000. Those winning tickets were purchased at the following locations:

· Essex County: US Postal Center, 146 B Ferry St., Newark, $25,000 winner;

· Camden County: 7-Eleven #10921, 5691 Cuthbert Blvd. & 216 Wisteria, Cherry Hill;

· Middlesex County: Quick Stop Food Store, 1665 Stelton Rd., Piscataway; and

· Passaic County: 7-Eleven #25906 (N), 90 Goffle Rd., Hawthorne.

In addition, 29 tickets sold matched the four white balls winning $500 each.

Two of those tickets were purchased with the Megaplier option, multiplying the prize to $2,500 each. Moreover, 69,482 other New Jersey players took home $149,663 in prizes ranging from $1 to $250, according to Hedinger.

“Congratulations to the lottery winners and to the retailers that sold all of those winning tickets,” said Hedinger. “For selling the winning tickets, the retailers have become many more Lottery ‘lucky locations’ overnight.” The winning numbers for the Friday, July 29 drawing were: 11, 16, 19, 31 and 48. The Gold Mega Ball was 04, and the Megaplier Multiplier was 05.

The Mega Millions jackpot rolls to $25,000,000 for the next drawing, which will be held Tuesday, August 2 at 11:00 pm. Powerball and Mega Millions drawings can be seen on local TV stations.
