EMS transported one person to University Hospital in Newark who was struck by a vehicle late last night in Scotch Plains according to reports.
The incident happened in the area of Park Avenue and Front Street shortly before 10:30 p.m. when emergency crews responded to reports of an injured person apparently struck by a vehicle at that location.
Arriving EMS and police units located the seriously injured victim but the suspected vehicle responsible for the strike, was not at the scene according to reports.
The extent of the victim’s injuries were not immediately reported as life threatening. There were no reports of arrests made.
The incident is being investigated by the Scotch Plains Police Department.
