INDEPENDENCE NJ: A hit and run crash that involved a motor cycle had emergency responders in the area of U.S. 46 and Water Street shortly before 8:30 p.m.
The motorcyclist was airlifted to the hospital suffering serious injuries after a vehicle only reported as an SUV crashed into the motorcycle then fled the scene according to reports. .
Police are looking for a dark colored SUV with possible heavy front end damage.
The incident remains under investigation.
