Authorities Identify Atlantic City Woman Struck, Killed by Car

Police are investigating the death of an Atlantic City woman who was struck and killed last night by a motor vehicle within an Atlantic City intersection, Atlantic County Prosecutor Jim McClain announced.

On Monday, July 18, 2016, at 10:30 p.m., Atlantic City Police and emergency medical personnel responded to the intersection of Dr. Martin Luther King Boulevard and McKinley Avenue, Atlantic City, for a 9-1-1 report of a pedestrian motor-vehicle accident.

Upon arrival, police found Tyvorah Patterson, 51, of Atlantic City, who had been struck by a motor vehicle.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Next-of-kin were notified.

The driver of the motor vehicle, Pamela Abney, 53, of Atlantic City, remained at the scene.

The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Crash Investigations Unit and the Atlantic City Police Department continue to investigate the incident.
