A raging 4-alarm fire that broke out inside a house in Newark spread and destroyed several others overnight.
Dozens of firefighters were on the scene of the fire that broke out in the 100 block of Pennsylvania Avenue shortly before 11 p.m. according to authorities.
Heavy fire began on the upper floors of a large three story multi-family house located at 148 Pennsylvania Avenue then spread to 146 and 144, destroying all three homes.
Two firefighters suffered minor injuries but there were no injuries to any residents authorities said.
Crews brought the fire under control shortly before two a.m. leaving more than a dozen residents displaced.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
