Seven Drivers Accused of Owing Over $200K in GWN Tolls, Fees Arrested

An early morning crack down conducted on the George Washington Bridge led to the arrest of seven drivers yesterday, according to Port Authority police.

Among the arrested were:

Jerome Daly, 58 of Teaneck, had a total of 1,260 violations totaling $79,423 ($16,423 in tolls and $63,000 in fees). He was charged with third degree theft of service.

Aleksandra Kotevski, of Garfield, and driver of Bucephal USA, was charged with a disorderly persons offense after the traffic stop. The company itself allegedly had a total of 694 outstanding violations totaling $61,623.

Catherine Alicea, 25, of Guttenberg, had 360 alleged violations totaling $22,959. She was arrested and charged with third degree theft of service.

Loida Cruz, 30, of Ridgefield Park had 185 violations totaling $11,316. Cruz was arrested and charged with a disorderly person offense.

Richard Ferdinand, 51, of Bushkill, Pa.,was arrested for not having front license plate or visible E-Z Pass transponder. Ferdinand was charged with disorderly persons and third degree theft of service for allegedly having 436 violations and owing $27,715 in tolls and fees.

According to officials, as of Nov. 2014, a total of $3 million in tolls and fees is owed.
