City Man Indicted in Camden Homicide

Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Camden County Police Chief Scott Thomson report a Grand Jury has returned an indictment for a city man charged in a Camden homicide in March.

Jerry Reyes, 29, was indicted on first-degree murder in the killing of 28-year-old Luis A. Feliu of Camden.

Reyes was also indicted on second-degree counts of unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and certain persons.

Reyes is accused of fatally shooting Feliu on March 12, 2016 during an altercation on the 1000 block of Haddon Avenue.  Camden County Police responded around 5:20 p.m. in reference to a report of a fight as well as a ShotSpotter activation for multiple gunshots. 

Officers located the Feliu lying on the sidewalk near the corner of Haddon Avenue and Mount Vernon Street. He was transported to Cooper University Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at 5:44 p.m. on Saturday.
