Last night, members of the Department’s Special Enforcement Bureau arrested a 29-year-old Irvington man for possession of a gun and drugs.
According to authorities, police responded to the intersection of 18th Avenue and South 19th Street after recieving and anonymous tip where they observed Lamar Jenkins selling drugs from his car.
The officers moved in and arrested Jenkins without incident and recovered a loaded handgun from his car authorities said.
Jenkins was charged with Possession of a Gun, Possession of a Gun for Unlawful Purpose Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Cocaine with the Intent to Distribute and Possession of Cocaine with the Intent to Distribute on School Property.
The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
