Elizabeth fire officials are investigating the cause of a fire that erupted inside a house in the city late last night.
The fast moving fire broke out in a two and a half story house located in the 100 block of Livingston Street shortly after 11p.m., sending firefighters to the scene where crews immediately began a search of the structure for trapped occupants.
Crews located and removed one person from the house who was treated for smoke inhalation, according to reports.
Firefighters extinguished flames that were present from the attic of the house.
The fire was brought under control within a half hour with no other injuries.
