Newark -- Acting Essex County Prosecutor Carolyn A. Murray and Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose announced today that the Newark Police Department and the Essex County Prosecutor's Office Homicide/Major Crimes Task Force are investigating the fatal shooting of Karelis Agudo, 23, of Newark.
According to authorities, Agudo was shot in the vicinity of 13 Grafton Avenue Saturday, June 4 at approximately 3:44 am.
She was pronounced dead at 4:14 a.m. authorities said.
At this time no arrests have been made and the motive is unclear.
