TRENTON NJ: Separate ovenight shootings sent about five people to the hospital in the city.
Police responded to reports of shots fired that rang out in the 600 block of Martin Luther King Boulevard shortly before 12:45 a.m. where authorities located on person suffering non-life threatening gunshot injuries.
Police investigating the crime scene learned that about three other victims were transported by private vehicles to Capital Health Regional Medical Center suffering non-life threatening injuries.
The hospital was placed on a one hour divert due to the shootings according to reports.
Shortly before 1:30 a.m. in the 200 block of Spring Street, police responded to shots fired in the area.
Officers arriving to the scene located a female victim struck to the leg by apparent gunfire.
The victim's injuries were not reported to be life threatening.
The Trenton Police Department have launched an investigation in to both shootings.
