An early morning crash on the Atlantic City Expressway had one person airlifted to the hospital according to authorities.
The crash reportedly happened in the westbound lanes of the highway near exit 38 in Winslow Township where emergency responders were called to the scene for reports of a crash with injuries.
Rescue crews arrived to the scene where they found an overturned vehicle with one person trapped inside.
Emergency responders were able to extricate the badly injured victim from the vehicle then hand over to EMS who prepared the victim for the flight to the hospital.
An aviation helicopter was called to the scene to search for possible victims who may have been ejected from the vehicle.
A search of the area revealed no other injured victims according to reports.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
