A late night armed robbery in Seaside Heights has one person in custody and police searching for two other suspects.
The incident was reported in the area Bay Boulevard and Porter Avenue at around 11:20 p.m. when police were called to the scene for an armed robbery in progress.
Arriving units were met by the victim who reported being robbed at gunpoint by at 3-4 Hispanic males who approached armed with what appeared to be a gun and demanded personal possessions.
The female victim reportedly handed over a purse, jewelry, a cellphone, and the the keys to her vehicle before the men fled the scene in a vehicle.
Authorities tracked the cell phone to a location in Perth Amboy where authorities (that included the NJ State Police) began a brief pursuit of the vehicle that ultimately turned into a bail out and foot pursuit according to reports.
At least one person was captured while two other suspects remained at large as of early this morning.
A weapon and other items was reportedly recovered by police from the vehicle.
