A pedestrian struck by a vehicle late last night in the city has the victim suffering critical injuries.
The incident happened at around 9:25 p.m. on the southbound side of U.S. 202 at Commerce Street where emergency responder rushed to the scene after receiving reports of a pedestrian down after being struck by a vehicle at that location.
Arriving first responder located the badly injured victim and immediately requested a medivac helicopter.
New Atlantic Air-1 airlifted the victim to Robert Wood Johnson where their injuries were reported as life threatening.
The identity of the victim has not been release at this time.
The incident remains under investigation.
