A shooting that erupted near a night club in Linden had one person hospitalized overnight.
Linden Police responded to reports of shots fired in the 1200 block of East Linden Avenue near the Cheeque's Night Club shortly before 3 a.m. where responding officers arrived to find a large crowd outside of the night club with one person suffering injury from apparent gunfire.
EMS transported the victim to University Hospital in Newark where their injuries were not immediately reported to be life threatening.
Assistance from Elizabeth Police and The Union County Police Department was called in to provide crowd control.
There were no arrests reported as detectives setup a crime scene where they checked for evidence and a possible suspect in the area.
