A 33-year-old man was transported to an area hospital after an altercation with his partner turned physical.
Police responded to the 100 block of Fulton Avenue for a report of a stabbing.
Upon arrival, police spoke to a 33-year-old man who told them that when he got home around 3:30 a.m., he found his 19-year-old boyfriend naked in the house with handcuffs sitting on the bed. When he confronted his partner, he became agitated. At this point, the older man ran into the kitchen and threw all the knives out the window into the yard because the 19-year-old has allegedly attempted to stab him before.
However, the younger male grabbed a pair of scissors and stabbed the victim in the arm and shoulder and bit into his right shoulder.
Both men were transported to Jersey City Medical Center-Barnabas Health for treatment.
The younger unidentified man was arrested and charged with aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury, and weapons offenses related to the scissors.
The incident remains under investigation.
