As a New Jersey State Police trooper directed traffic through the area that escaped inmate Arthur Buckel was captured, a smell of marijuana emanated from a passing vehicle.
The trooper pulled the vehicle over and allegedly discovered approximately 10 grams of marijuana, ecstasy pills and paraphernalia in the car.
The occupants, Nicholas Netta, 25, of North Brunswick, Adam Lutchman, 26, of Somerset, Kevin Behan, 23, and Alexander Swartz, 26, both of Milltown, were all taken into custody and each charged with drug possession and paraphernalia.
Three of the men were released on summons but the fourth man remains in custody.
The incident remains under investigation.
