Police in Newark are investigating and armed robbery at a pharmacy in the city's West Ward.
According to reports, at approximately 9:45 a.m., police responded to reports of a commercial robbery at the Feinstein's Pharmacy located at 295 16th Ave.
A black male suspect described as wearing a brown hoodie and having curly hair entered the business brandished a small handgun.
The suspect then jumped over the service counter while pointing the weapon and demanding prescription pills.
After obtaining several bottles of Xanax, the suspect then left the store and was last seen fleeing west on 16th Ave.
There were no physical injuries reported.
