Suspect Sought in Attack of Rutgers Student in New Brunswick

Middlesex County Prosecutor Andrew C. Carey, Chief Kenneth Cop of the Rutgers University Police Department and Director Anthony A. Caputo of the New Brunswick Police Department said today that authorities are searching for a man who attacked a female student in New Brunswick.

Police began an investigation after they were alerted to the aggravated assault and attempted sexual assault near College Avenue and Seminary Place in New Brunswick on May 4, 2016 at 3:30 a.m.

The woman, whose identity is being withheld, was taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick

The investigation is active and is continuing.
