A man who stabbed a Jersey City woman to death after she broke up with him was sentenced today to 30 years in prison.
On Oct. 9, 2014, State Police responded to Central Avenue after Michael Humphrey, 45, Humphrey called police to report he stabbed his girlfriend and he was turning himself in.
According to police, Humphrey was found walking to the North District Police Station to turn himself with blood on his hands.
According to family, Patricia Santana, 53, ended her relationship with Humphrey but allowed him to stay in the apartment until he found a new place.
Today Humphrey received a 30-year sentence without parole. However, he will receive credit for the time served at the Hudson County jail in Kearny.
