Police Continue to Investigate Fatal Atlantic City Shooting

The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office is releasing additional information regarding the Newtonville man found last month in Atlantic City—the victim of a shooting, Atlantic County Prosecutor Jim McClain announced.

Atlantic City Police responded to Hobart Avenue for a Shotspotter Gunshot Detection and Location activation at 1:59 a.m. on Tuesday, March 29, 2016.

Upon arrival, police found a male victim, the apparent victim of gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center—City Division.

The victim, Emmanuell C. Fisher, 25, of Newtonville, was pronounced dead at the hospital at 11:49 a.m.

An autopsy performed by Southern Regional Medical Examiner Gerald Feigin, M.D. on March 31, 2016 determined that the cause of death was multiple wounds, and that the manner of death was homicide.

Next-of-kin were notified.

The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and the Atlantic City Police Department continue the investigation.
