Police in Newark are investigating a stabbing that left several people injured overnight in the city's North Ward.
Authorities responded to the area of Orange Street and North 6th Street at around midnight where they located two victims suffering non-life threatening stab wounds according to reports.
The victims reportedly directed police to the 50's block of Wakeman Avenue where they told cops that the stabbing had occurred.
Officers converged on the North Ward residence where cops located one other person suffering a stab injury inside a basement apartment at that address.
That victim was transported to University Hospital in an unknown condition.
Police are continuing to investigate a motive for the stabbings.
There were no arrests reported.
