A large brush fire burning in Kearny has firefighters on the scene from several municipalities assisting in extinguishing the blaze at this time.
Fire broke out early this afternoon in the 1800 block of Harrison Avenue sending firefighters to the scene where heavy flames and smoke were seen for miles.
Amtrak has suspended all services on the Northeast Corridor tracks as crews worked to contain what they are now calling a 3-alarm blaze.
Crews have not gained control of the fire at this time.
