The Cherry Blossom Capital of America will be hosting a unique pop-up event on one of its most picturesque streets.
The “Street Yoga Under the Cherry Blossoms” event will be held Wednesday, April 14, from 5:30-8 p.m.
The event will be held on Mertz Avenue – home to some of the most colorful cherry blossoms in Belleville.
According to officials, Mertz Avenue will be closed to traffic, converted to an outdoor yoga studio.
A yoga instructor from a local gym will lead the sessions.
There will be music and some extra mats that have been sanitized.
Officials said they strongly ask you to consider covering this event.
Considering that Street Yoga Under the Cherry Blossoms was canceled last year as the township dealt with the surge of COVID-19 cases sweeping the state, the event’s return is another sign of pre-pandemic living in Belleville.
