Xbox Dispute Leads to Fatal Stabbing in Newark

An Xbox video game console was the root of an argument between a Newark couple which ended in the fatal stabbing of the 26-year-old city man.

Christopher Greene and his girlfriend Alisha Barr, 28, were at their shared apartment - located on the 100 block of Stuyvesant Avenue - when an argument over their Xbox console turned physical.

According to police, Barr allegedly grabbed a knife from the kitchen and stabbed Greene on the chest.

When police arrived, Green was transported to University Hospital in Newark where he was pronounced dead.

Barr was charged with aggravated manslaughter. She is being held at the Essex County Correctional Facility in Newark on a $500,000 bail.

The incident remains under investigation.
