Wynona’s House Marks 25 Years with Awareness Campaigns and Fundraising Event

Wynona’s House Child Advocacy Center, a beacon of hope for child victims of abuse in Essex County, is celebrating its 25th anniversary with a series of initiatives aimed at promoting child safety and community strength.GenceptzIn observance of National Child Abuse Prevention Month, Wynona’s House has launched its first digital billboard campaign with the theme "It’s Your Business," emphasizing the community's role in child safety.

The billboards, strategically placed in Newark and along the New Jersey Turnpike, highlight the critical services provided by the center.

The mission of Wynona's House is to foster a safe environment for children by coordinating services that promote justice and healing for abused and violent-treated children.

Since its inception, Wynona’s House has assisted over 12,000 child victims and their families, demonstrating a profound commitment to creating a community where children can thrive.

This year also marks the relaunch of the Steel Magnolia Soiree, a cherished fundraising and friend-raising event, set to occur on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at the Women’s Club of Glen Ridge.

The event, which features a game night from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m., will gather more than 200 supporters to celebrate the organization’s milestones and dedication.

Robert Crocker, Interim CEO of Wynona’s House, expressed enthusiasm for the event, noting it as a crucial opportunity to strengthen the commitment to the children and families of Essex County.

Supporters are invited to participate in the Steel Magnolia Soiree by purchasing tickets, sponsoring the event, or contributing financially in other ways.

Such contributions are vital for sustaining the impactful work of Wynona’s House in offering hope, healing, and justice to those affected by child abuse.
