An early morning crash that occurred on Rt. 22 eastbound near Rt. 202/206 sent first responders to the scene where one person suffered critical injuries.
First responders arrived to the crash scene near Mountain Ave. at around 2:45 a.m. where a vehicle reportedly traveling the wrong way down Route 22, slammed into another vehicle, trapping at least one person.
EMS transported one person (who was reported to be a female victim around 50-years-old) to Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in critical condition.
Police shut down Rt. 22 eastbound for the accident investigation.
